Hellenistic Astrology is an ancient practice of reading the sky to uncover the patterns, possibilities, and themes woven into your life.
Hellenistic astrology is a form of Western astrology that developed over two thousand years ago in the ancient Mediterranean. It weaves Babylonian astronomy, Egyptian timekeeping, and Greek philosophy into a sophisticated system for understanding the patterns, cycles, and timing of human life. I ground my practice in these methods while incorporating elements of modern astrology, including the symbolism of the outer planets and a more contemporary lens of personal growth and choice, honouring the wisdom of the ancients while remaining relevant to the world we live in today.
Unlike psychic readings or fortune-telling, consultations are based on established astrological techniques that have been refined through centuries of observation, pattern recognition, and practice. Using your birth date, time, and location, I construct a natal chart and examine planetary placements, relationships, timing techniques, and other traditional methods to identify recurring themes, important life cycles, and any upcoming periods of opportunity or challenge.
A defining feature of Hellenistic astrology is timing, ancient astrologers lived in societies where many aspects of life were predetermined, so traditional astrology naturally places a stronger emphasis on fate and circumstance. While I respect this perspective, I acknowledge that we live in a world with more freedom and opportunity, although there are circumstances we cannot choose, awareness gives us the opportunity to prepare, make informed decisions, and respond intentionally.
Many astrologers compare predictive astrology to a weather forecast, in the sense a forecast does not create the weather or tell you an incoming storm will destroy your property, but it can help you understand conditions ahead so you can prepare accordingly. Using techniques such as Annual Profections, planetary returns, transits, and other traditional timing methods, we work together to identify periods that may highlight certain areas of life. Some may bring opportunities for growth or gains in love or finances, while others may require patience, resilience, or a complete change in perspective. The goal is not to create fear about the future, but to help you navigate it with greater awareness and confidence.
